The latest version of this popular shield maintains all the key features of the original and is "R3" compatible, meaning it works with most Arduino boards and compatible models. You’ll be up and running in no time, saving data to SD cards formatted in FAT16 or FAT32, which can later be analyzed using plotting tools, spreadsheets, or other programs. The built-in Real-Time Clock (RTC) keeps track of time even when the Arduino is powered off, allowing you to timestamp your data accurately.

Please note that the shield doesn’t come with an Arduino board, SD card, or coin cell battery. The components come pre-soldered and tested, but headers are not included, so some basic soldering skills will be required to complete the setup—though it’s simple enough for beginners and can be done in under 15 minutes.

  • Arduino Zero (ATSAMD21) – 6 analog inputs (12-bit resolution).
  • Arduino Due – 12 analog inputs (12-bit resolution).
