Adafruit BMP390 - Precision Barometric Pressure and Altimeter - STEMMA QT / Qwiic

£8.83 GBP Sale

The Adafruit BMP390 (also referred to as BMP390L) is the next-generation precision barometric pressure sensor from Bosch, designed as an upgrade to the BMP280 and BMP388. With improved precision, this sensor is perfect for environmental sensing or as an accurate altimeter, offering a remarkable relative accuracy of ±3 Pascals (around ±0.25 meters of altitude). This makes it ideal for applications like drones, quadcopters, wearables, or any project that tracks height above sea level.

The BMP390 is fast, with a quick conversion time, and offers the flexibility of both I2C and SPI communication options. If you prefer simple wiring, I2C is the way to go, while SPI is great for connecting multiple sensors without address collisions. This sensor can measure temperature with a ±0.5°C accuracy, making it even more versatile.

We’ve made it easy for you to integrate the BMP390 into your project. The sensor is surface-mounted onto a custom PCB in the STEMMA QT form factor, with connectors compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors. This allows you to quickly make solderless connections with your development board or chain it with other compatible sensors using a QT cable (sold separately).

Additionally, the board includes a 3.3V regulator and level shifting, so it works seamlessly with both 3V and 5V logic microcontrollers. With the included Arduino library, you can start retrieving data in under 10 minutes, making it an effortless addition to your next project.
