Latching Relay Design: Unlike the Non-Latching relay, the Latching Mini Relay uses two control pins: SET and UNSET. Instead of keeping the SET pin high, you only need to pulse each pin high for 10ms to toggle the relay between open and closed states. This design saves power, as it doesn't require constant current to keep the relay latched. The relay will stay in its last setting even if power is lost, making it ideal for energy-efficient applications.
Switching Capabilities: The relay can switch up to 2A of resistive current at 30VDC or ~40VAC. At higher voltages, it can switch 0.6A at 110VDC, 0.5A at 120VAC, and 0.3A at 250VAC. It's designed for lighter loads, up to 60W; for more demanding devices, such as 1200W appliances, consider our Power FeatherWing, which can handle up to 10A.
Simple Integration: The FeatherWing is easy to use, simply attach it to your Feather board using Feather Stacking Headers or Feather Female Headers. The FeatherWing comes with a fully assembled PCB, a 3-pin terminal block for wiring up your relay-controlled devices, and a header to attach it to your Feather board. Some light soldering is required.
