Introducing the ultra-thin NeoPixel Mini Strip—a compact, highly flexible LED strip that packs 144 individually addressable RGB LEDs per meter. This strip is only 7.5 mm wide (0.3") when you remove it from its casing, making it perfect for projects that need a discreet, low-profile light solution.
Each LED on the strip can be controlled individually, with 24-bit color precision (8-bit PWM for red, green, and blue components). The LEDs use an integrated chip within each LED, which allows for highly efficient control with just a single pin for input and output. The strip operates using a timing-specific protocol, requiring microcontrollers with precise 100nS timing, such as an Arduino Uno/Mega, Raspberry Pi, or Beagle Bone Black. It won't work with slower processors or interpreted/virtual machine microcontrollers (e.g., Basic Stamp, NETduino).
The strip is designed with flexibility in mind, made from a flexible PCB material and covered with a weatherproof sheathing. It's easy to cut along designated lines (every 7mm, or 1 LED) and solder connections onto the 0.1" copper pads. The NeoPixel strip can also be connected with additional strips to extend its length—just be mindful of the current requirements! To power the strip, use a 5V DC power supply, ensuring it doesn’t exceed 6V to avoid damaging the LEDs.
Technical Details:
Each reel comes as a 1-meter strip, and multiple strips can be connected together, but ensure the power supply can handle the total current. We recommend a 5V/4A supply for up to 1 meter, or a 5V/10A supply for up to 10 meters, depending on usage.
