The main purpose of the PiTalk 2G HAT is to enable geeks and electronics enthusiasts to run various applications and programs on 2G networks. Based on SIM868, PiTalk 2G HAT features a high-performance GSM/GPRS engine as well as a GNSS engine. The quad-band GSM/GPRS capable PiTalk 2G operates on frequencies between 850MHz and 1900MHz. Best-in-class acquisition and tracing sensitivity, Time-To-First-Fix (TTFF), and accuracy are provided by the GNSS solution in PiTalk 2G. With such a setup, PiTalk 2G can nearly entirely satisfy the space needs of clients' applications, including those for smartphones, PDAs, and other mobile devices.
A GNSS engine and a high-performance GSM/GPRS engine are both included in SIM868. A quad-band GSM/GPRS module called SIM868 operates on the GSM 850MHz, EGSM 900MHz, DCS 1800MHz, and PCS 1900MHz frequencies. The SIM868 supports the GPRS coding schemes CS-1, CS-2, CS-3, and CS-4 and offers GPRS multi-slot class 12/class 10 (optional). The Time-To-First-Fix (TTFF), accuracy, and sensitivity of the GNSS solution are best in class. SIM868 can almost entirely satisfy the space needs in customers' applications, including smartphones, PDAs, and other mobile devices, thanks to its small configuration of 17.6*15.7*2.3mm.PiTalk 2G HAT Specification:
