Stem:Bit - Our new launch on Kickstarter

We are excited to share the news with you.

We'll be launching our recent project on Kickstarter - Stem:Bit - A programmable blocks kit based on micro:bit..

Launching on 25 July 2019, 06:00 PM (BST)

What is it?

Simple! It is STEM Education and micro:bit based programmable blocks kit. Yes, a programmable blocks kit that lets you learn to program while you play.

play

We all love to play, don't we! No matter the age... :)

And we are also the techie generation for the STEM basics. (Psst... It's alright if you are new to this, you can still read the story ahead).

So, we at SB Components came out with a concept where we decided to give the pleasure of both programmings and playing, together. After all:

As the name suggests, it is compiled using 2 different yet the widely used terms, "Stem" from the STEM Education society and "Bit" from the micro:bit community.

In other simple words, with Stem:Bit kids can utilize micro:bit to fully realize their ideas and truly unlock their imagination while on the play.

The kit is actually a programmable blocks kit that has more than 260 building blocks! Its core is the micro:bit and the micro:bit Stem Board.

stem boardThe Stem board is a specially designed expansion board that is used for programming different movements, structures, sensors etc using the micro:bit.

Why Stem:Bit?

With Stem:Bit you can re-live your childhood imaginations and creativity, while a child can explore more about its potential towards programming.

This Kickstarter sounds like it has the potential to be incredible. Most children would find programming quite daunting as it appears to be quite complex, but this is a great way of introducing them to it. I’m excited to see what the future holds for your project. Thanks for the blog!
