This mini panel-mountable HDMI monitor is a compact solution that features a built-in resistive touchscreen, making it perfect for a variety of portable or embedded projects. Its small size and shape allow it to be easily attached to cases or rails, and it works seamlessly with any computer with an HDMI output. The monitor is plug-and-play and includes a TFP401 decoder for video decoding, providing an effortless setup.
Key Features:
- 5" Display with 800x480 Resolution: Offers enough resolution to run most software while being compact enough for portable applications.
- Resistive Touchscreen: The built-in touchscreen works as a USB mouse and does not require special drivers, making it compatible with Mac, Windows, and Debian Linux (including Raspbian on Raspberry Pi). Please note it does not work with Raspberry Pi + Windows 10 IoT.
- Power via USB: Can be powered directly from a USB port, with the total current draw of 500mA at full brightness. This can be reduced by dimming the backlight, or turning it off for 250mA draw.
- PWM Backlight Control: Includes a PWM input to allow you to adjust backlight brightness continuously via a microcontroller or other PWM source.
- Plug-and-Play: Includes the TFP401 decoder chip from TI, which can handle unencrypted video, outputting raw 24-bit color pixel data (HDCP is not supported).
- No Video Scaling: The TFP401 chip does not resize or scale video, so it will display the video at its native resolution of 800x480.
Compatibility:
- Ideal for use with single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone Black, or desktop/laptops with HDMI output.
- Powered by USB, with the ability to handle 500mA power requirements from most USB ports.
Dimensions:
- Size: 124mm x 76mm x 7mm (4.9" x 3.0" x 0.3")
