Beat the heat and prove the weatherman wrong with the HTU21D-F Temperature + Humidity Sensor! This I2C digital humidity sensor is the perfect solution for accurately measuring both temperature and humidity, especially when it feels like the weather forecast just doesn’t match what you’re experiencing.

With a typical accuracy of ±2% for humidity and an optimized operating range from 5% to 95% RH, this sensor provides reliable readings in a variety of conditions. The temperature output offers an accuracy of ±1°C from -30°C to 90°C, making it a solid choice for a wide range of applications. If you need even higher temperature precision, consider pairing it with the MCP9808 High Accuracy Temperature Sensor for better accuracy.

To make integration easy, we've designed a breakout board with a filtered version of the sensor (featuring a PTFE filter to keep it clean), a 3.3V regulator, and I2C level shifting circuitry. This allows you to safely connect it to any microcontroller with 3.3V to 5V power or logic.

For even simpler connections, the sensor uses the STEMMA QT form factor, making it plug-and-play with SparkFun’s Qwiic I2C connectors. This lets you quickly interface the HTU21D-F with your development board or chain it with other sensors using a compatible cable (not included).

Key Features:

  • Accurate humidity measurement with ±2% typical accuracy (5% to 95% RH range)
  • Temperature measurement with ±1°C accuracy from -30°C to 90°C
  • I2C interface with a 7-bit address of 0x40
  • STEMMA QT compatibility for easy, solderless connections (compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C)
  • PTFE filter to protect the sensor and maintain accuracy
  • 3.3V regulator and I2C level shifting circuitry for safe and simple use with 3.3V to 5V systems

What's Included:

  • 1 fully assembled and tested breakout board
  • A small piece of header for easy breadboard use (header requires soldering)

Dimensions:

  • 25.5mm x 17.0mm x 5.0mm / 1.0" x 0.7" x 0.2"

This sensor is perfect for measuring temperature and humidity in a variety of projects, and with our Arduino library and detailed tutorial, you’ll be up and running in no time. Whether you’re monitoring environmental conditions or just curious about the accuracy of weather reports, the HTU21D-F is a reliable choice for your next project!
