This TRRS Audio Breakout Board is designed for situations where you need stereo audio plus an extra contact for a microphone input, commonly found in headsets for cell phones. TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) jacks are also useful for low-speed data transmission with power, ground, and two data lines, making this board versatile for a range of applications.

• Four Contacts: Includes all four contacts of a TRRS cable for stereo audio and microphone functionality.
• Two Switched Outputs:
  • When the jack is not inserted, the left switch connects to the left contact, and the right switch connects to the right contact.
  • When the jack is inserted, the left and right switch pins "float," enabling automatic switching between built-in speakers and headphones or detecting headphone presence to power down or mute.
• Durable Design: The jack has two through-hole contacts near the opening for a strong mechanical connection.
• Fully Assembled: Comes pre-assembled on a breakout board with mounting holes and a small amount of header pins, making it easy to integrate into your projects and use with a breadboard.
