Adafruit STEMMA Speaker - Plug and Play Audio Amplifier

The Adafruit STEMMA Speaker - Plug and Play Audio Amplifier is a compact and easy-to-use audio solution that allows you to quickly connect sensors and devices. It features a built-in class D audio amplifier and a 1-Watt 8-ohm speaker, offering excellent sound quality for music, tones, or speech.

The setup is straightforward—simply connect ground, 3 to 5V power, and the audio signal. The audio signal does not require AC coupling, as it is handled internally, and can reach up to the power pin voltage (3 or 5V peak-to-peak). The speaker can be connected through either a 3-pin JST socket or alligator/sew-pads, making it versatile and portable. Volume adjustment is possible with a small screwdriver.

For best results, use the JST to alligator-clip cable with CircuitPlayground or micro:bit (red for power, black for ground, and white for signal). For breadboard use, you can opt for a JST to male/plug header cable or a socket-header cable if preferred.
