The Adafruit TB6612 1.2A DC/Stepper Motor Driver Breakout Board is an easy and efficient way to control motors, solenoids, and stepper motors in your projects without needing a full motor shield or HAT. It’s based on the TB6612 dual H-bridge driver, which allows you to control up to two DC motors bi-directionally, a stepper motor, or fire two solenoids with 1.2A of current per channel.

Key Features:

  • Dual H-Bridge Driver: Features two full H-bridges, which can handle up to 2-4 solenoids (only two active at a time), two DC motors, or one stepper motor.
  • Current Rating: Capable of handling up to 1.2A continuous current, with a peak of 3A for short bursts (around 20ms).
  • Motor Voltage Range: Supports motor voltages between 4.5V and 13.5V (not suitable for 3V motors).
  • Built-In Kickback Diodes: Protects your project and driver from damaging inductive spikes when driving motors.
  • PWM Control: Allows for motor speed control using PWM input for each motor driver.
  • Separate Motor and Logic Voltages: The motor voltage is independent from the logic voltage, making it versatile with a range of logic voltages from 2.7V to 5V.

What's Included:

  • One fully assembled and tested TB6612 breakout board
  • A small strip of header pins (for easy soldering to a breadboard or proto board)

Additional Information:

  • Soldering Required: Light soldering is needed to attach the included header to the breakout board.
  • Not Included: Arduino, motors, and power supply.

This driver is perfect for DIY projects like robotics, motion control, or other applications where you need to drive motors or solenoids. Check out the detailed tutorial for assembly, wiring, and usage tips!
