40-pin FPC to Straight 2x20 IDC Male Plug Header Adapter

Here is an easy solution for extending your Raspberry Pi's GPIO capabilities. This is a 40-pin FPC to Straight 2x20 IDC Male Plug Header Adapter.

Use this adapter to stretch all 40 pins for extended connection. Simply plug the socket side into the Raspberry Pi and then insert your 40-pin flex cable into the 40-pin flex connector, paying attention to Pin 1.

This adapter supports any 40-pin wide, 0.5mm pitch, 0.3mm thick FPC with 'A-B' connections. For further extension, a 40-pin extender can be snapped on, and matching adapter boards can be used to connect your HAT or bonnet of choice.

Note that some HATs, such as the Sense HAT or Bonnets with slim connectors on the bottom, may benefit from adding a socket riser/lifter to provide more connector body grip.
