This compact mono amplifier is a powerful solution, capable of delivering up to 2.5 Watts to 4-8 ohm impedance speakers. Featuring a Class D controller, it operates efficiently from 2.0V-5.5VDC and boasts an efficiency of over 90% when driving an 8Ω speaker, making it ideal for portable, battery-powered projects. It includes built-in thermal and over-current protection, ensuring safe operation, while remaining cool even under load. A volume trim pot on the board lets you adjust the volume from the default 24dB gain.

  • Output Power: 2.5W at 4Ω, 1.5W at 8Ω with a 5.5V supply and 10% THD.
  • Class D Amplifier: Over 90% efficiency, ideal for battery-powered projects.
  • Differential Inputs: The A+ and A- inputs go through 1.0uF capacitors, making them fully differential. If your output isn’t differential, simply tie the Audio- pin to ground.
  • Bridge-Tied Output: The amplifier connects directly to the speaker pins with no ground connection, using 250KHz square wave PWM that is averaged out by the speaker coil.
  • Filterless Design: Uses ferrite beads and capacitors on the output to smooth the signal.
  • Thermal & Short-Circuit Protection: Built-in protection features for added safety.
