The NeoPixel FeatherWing is a 4x8 RGB LED add-on designed for all Feather boards, allowing you to add vibrant and customizable LED displays to your projects. It features 32 individually addressable LEDs arranged in a 4x8 matrix, with each LED capable of displaying a wide range of colors.

This FeatherWing connects easily to your Feather board using Feather Stacking Headers or Feather Female Headers, either on top or bottom, letting your Feather board shine like never before. Control all the LEDs with just one pin, and adjust the configuration by using jumpers to map the DIN line to any I/O pin on your Feather board (default jumper can be cut to change pin assignment).

The power setup for the NeoPixel FeatherWing automatically switches between the USB power or battery power, whichever is higher. It can handle up to 1A of constant current, with a 2A peak, making it perfect for colorful light effects but not for high-power applications like flashlights. A level-up shifter ensures compatibility with the 3.3V logic from Feather boards to the required voltage for the LEDs.

For even more lighting effects, you can chain multiple NeoPixel FeatherWings together by connecting the DIN line from one board to the DOUT of the next. You may also use an independent 5V power supply for additional wings to avoid overloading the power source.
