This board is the easiest and quickest way to add sound effects to your project. Perfect for props, costumes, toys, or any small portable projects, the Adafruit Sound Board comes with all the features you need without the hassle of coding or extra hardware.

• Built-In Storage: No need for an SD card, as the board includes 2MB of onboard storage, good for a few minutes of compressed stereo audio or around half a minute of uncompressed stereo.

• Audio Format Support: Supports both compressed Ogg Vorbis files and uncompressed WAV files, with support for 44.1KHz, 16-bit stereo sound.

• Five Trigger Effects: Easily configure your sound playback with five different trigger types, just by renaming the audio files. Effects include:
  • Basic Trigger: Plays a file when a button is pressed.
  • Hold Looping Trigger: Plays and loops a file when a button is held.
  • Latching Loop Trigger: Starts audio on button press, loops until pressed again.
  • Play Next Trigger: Plays up to 10 audio files in sequence on each button press.
  • Play Random Trigger: Plays audio files in random order from up to 10 files.

Powering Options:

The board runs on 3-5VDC, making it compatible with a variety of power sources, such as a 3xAAA battery pack or a LiPoly battery. You can even use a LiPoly backpack for an all-in-one rechargeable setup.
