Description

The Adafruit ESP32-S2 Feather with BME280 Sensor is a Feather-shaped development board featuring the ESP32-S2 WiFi module with built-in ambient sensor. This board integrates a STEMMA QT connector for I2C device compatibility and includes a BME280 temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure sensor for precise environmental monitoring.

Powered by a 240MHz Tensilica processor, it offers 4MB flash and 2MB PSRAM, making it ideal for CircuitPython or Arduino projects requiring low-cost WiFi connectivity and native USB capabilities.

Features:

  • ESP32-S2 240MHz Tensilica processor with native USB for keyboard/mouse, MIDI, or disk drive functionality
  • FCC/CE certified mini module with 4MB Flash and 2MB PSRAM for large data buffers
  • Power options include USB Type-C or LiPoly battery with onboard charging
  • Built-in BME280 temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure sensor connected over I2C
  • MAX17048 LiPoly battery monitor chip for voltage and state of charge reporting over I2C
  • Reset and DFU (BOOT0) buttons for easy programming via USB serial bootloader
  • Serial debug output pin for hardware serial debugging
  • STEMMA QT connector with switchable power for low power mode
  • Onboard LEDs: Reset, Charge, User, and a status NeoPixel with power control for low power use
  • Low power friendly with deep sleep drawing approximately 80~100uA from LiPoly connection
  • Compatible with Arduino and CircuitPython programming environments
