The Adafruit Feather M0 Adalogger is a versatile, compact development board designed for portable data logging projects. It combines the power of an ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex M0 processor with integrated microSD storage, built-in battery charging, and native USB support. This Feather board is perfect for those who need a lightweight, all-in-one solution for logging data on the go.

Key Features:

  • Processor: Powered by the ATSAMD21G18 chip running at 48 MHz with 3.3V logic. This is the same processor used in the Arduino Zero, offering 256KB of FLASH and 32KB of RAM.
  • Storage: Equipped with a microSD card holder for expanding storage capacity, allowing you to easily read and write large amounts of data.
  • USB Support: Native USB-to-Serial functionality with a built-in bootloader, enabling easy program uploading and debugging without the need for an FTDI chip.
  • Battery-Friendly: A connector for 3.7V Lithium Polymer batteries with built-in charging capabilities. You can run the board directly from USB power or use the battery for portable use. The board automatically switches to USB power when available, and you can monitor the battery voltage via an analog pin.
  • I/O Pins: Access to 20 GPIO pins with support for hardware Serial, I2C, and SPI. Plus, it offers 8 PWM pins, 10 analog inputs, and 1 DAC (10-bit analog output).
  • Built-In Features: Includes a 100mA LiPo charger, a red LED (pin #13) for general use, and a green LED (pin #8) for additional feedback or blinking purposes.

Specifications:

  • Size: 2.0" x 0.9" x 0.28" (51mm x 23mm x 8mm) without headers soldered
  • Weight: 5.3 grams
  • Processor: ATSAMD21G18 @ 48MHz, 3.3V logic
  • Memory: 256KB of FLASH, 32KB of RAM
  • Power: 3.3V regulator with 500mA peak current output
  • Storage: microSD card holder for large storage capacity
  • LEDs: Red LED (pin #13), Green LED (pin #8)
  • I/O: 20 GPIO pins, 8 PWM pins, 10 analog inputs, 1 DAC
  • Charging: Built-in 100mA LiPo charger with charging status LED
  • Mounting: 4 mounting holes for easy installation

Extras:

  • Reset Button: For restarting the board.
  • USB Bootloader: Simplifies the programming process with the Arduino IDE.

The Feather M0 Adalogger is fully assembled and tested, and includes some header pins for easy soldering onto a breadboard. Please note: LiPo battery, microSD card, and USB cable are not included but can be purchased separately.

This development board is ideal for data logging, portable sensor projects, or any application that requires real-time data recording and easy access to microSD storage.
