The 2.8" Capacitive Touch Display for Raspberry Pi is an adorable and functional screen designed to add a compact, high-quality touch interface to your Raspberry Pi projects. With a 320x240 resolution and 16-bit color, the display offers vibrant visuals and smooth touch responsiveness thanks to its capacitive touch overlay—perfect for use with your fingerpad, unlike resistive touchscreens that require a stylus or fingernail.

Key Features:

  • 2.8" Display: A vibrant 320x240 pixel display that delivers sharp, clear visuals in 16-bit color.
  • Capacitive Touchscreen: Enjoy a smooth and responsive touch experience with the capacitive touch overlay. No need for styluses or fingernails—just use your fingerpad for easy navigation.
  • Raspberry Pi Compatibility: The display is compatible with Raspberry Pi 4, Pi Zero, Pi 3, Pi 2, Model A+, and B+ (any Pi with a 2x20 connector). It is not compatible with the original Pi 1, but there's a version available for the original Pi A or B.
  • GPIO Access: All 40 GPIO pins are accessible, allowing you to connect peripherals underneath the display using a 40-pin GPIO cable. This makes it ideal for compact Pi-based projects.
  • Four Tactile Switches: Four slim tactile switches are wired to GPIO pins, which you can use to create a basic user interface, such as a power on/off button.
  • Hardware Interfaces: The display uses hardware I2C (SDA, SCL), SPI (SCK, MOSI, MISO, CE0), and GPIO pins #25 and #24 for touchscreen and display communication.
  • Compact and Portable: The display is perfect for use in Raspberry Pi enclosures, fitting neatly into the Raspberry Pi Enclosure base with the option to use a faceplate for a streamlined, compact touchscreen setup.

Ideal For:

  • Console Access: Use it for basic console access or as a mini monitor for your Raspberry Pi.
  • Graphical Interfaces: While small at 320x240, it's perfect for PyGame or other SDL-drawing programs for creating graphical user interfaces or visual displays on the frame buffer.

Note: The Raspberry Pi and enclosure are not included. This display now comes fully assembled with tactile switches included, making it easier to use right out of the box.
