Description

The Adafruit Pixel Shifter is an essential tool for addressing voltage level challenges with addressable LEDs like NeoPixels, especially when using 3.3V logic microcontrollers such as RP2040, ESP32, STM32, and more. This compact breakout board features a built-in 5V voltage generator, two shifters, and one inverter, allowing you to shift up to two signal lines with one available as an inverted output.

Designed for ease of use, all connections are available on 0.1" terminal blocks, making it solder-free and easy to wire using 18AWG to 26AWG wire. It efficiently translates 3.3V signals to 5V levels required by certain pixels to prevent flickering and ensure proper operation.

  • Built-in 5V voltage generator.
  • Two signal shifters and one inverter on board.
  • Compatible with 3.3V logic microcontrollers.
  • Solder-free, terminal block connections.
  • Onboard NeoPixel for signal verification (can be disabled).
  • Supports signal frequencies up to 10MHz, suitable for LED strips operating around 800KHz.

This low-cost and compact level shifter is a perfect companion for your LED projects, including those using WLED. Also handy as a quick signal debugger with an onboard status NeoPixel.
