RGB LCDs are a great way to add a vibrant display to your project, but they typically require up to 9 digital pins—6 for the LCD and 3 for the RGB backlight—which can take up most of the Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins. This Pi plate solves that problem by allowing you to control both the LCD and the backlight using just the two I2C pins on the Raspberry Pi (SDA/SCL), freeing up your GPIO for other uses. And since the I2C bus can support multiple devices, you can connect other sensors or peripherals without losing pins!

• Kit Form: This product comes as a kit, with a high-quality PCB, all components (including buttons and header), and a 16x2 RGB Negative LCD. It’s easy to assemble, even for beginners, and can be completed in about 30 minutes.
• Python Code: We provide handy Python code to help you control the LCD and buttons. The code automatically debounces the buttons, and you can easily query the 5 keypad buttons to capture user input.
