Description
A Feather board without ambition is a Feather board without FeatherWings! This DC Motor + Stepper FeatherWing lets you control 2 bi-polar stepper motors or 4 brushed DC motors (or a combination of both) using any Feather board. It features a fully-dedicated PWM driver chip controlled over I2C, enabling precise motor and speed control.
The FeatherWing uses the TB6612 chipset with 4 full H-Bridges capable of delivering 1.2A per bridge with thermal shutdown and internal kickback protection. It supports motor voltages from 4.5VDC to 13.5VDC and can handle up to 4 bi-directional DC motors with 12-bit speed selection, or 2 stepper motors with various stepping modes including micro-stepping.
- 4 full H-Bridges (TB6612 chipset) with 1.2A per bridge
- Supports up to 4 bi-directional DC motors or 2 stepper motors
- Uses I2C for control compatible with all Feather boards
- Stackable design, supporting up to 32 wings with unique I2C addresses
- Big 3.5mm terminal blocks for easy wiring (18-26AWG)
- Polarity protected terminal block for external power supply
- Thermal shutdown and kickback protection included
- Comes assembled and tested with terminal blocks and plain header (some soldering required)
Note: Stacking headers, Feather board, and motors are sold separately. A suitable external power supply is recommended for motors to avoid draining the Feather's battery.
