The module EG25-G, which is an LTE category 4 module in an LGA form factor of 29.0mm x 32.0mm x 2.4mm and meets the 3GPP Release 11 standard, is used in the Raspberry Pi Pico 4G Expansion. It works with Quectel's UMTS/HSPA+ UC20 and UC200T modules, as well as multi-mode LTE Standard EC2x (EC25, EC21, EC20, EC20 R2.0 and EC20 R2.1) and EG21-G modules, allowing for easy migration.

Powerful Quectel EG25-G

The Quectel EG25-G is a Cat 4 LTE module designed for M2M and IoT applications. It uses 3GPP Rel. 11 LTE technology to give data rates of 150Mbps downlink and 50Mbps uplink. The EG25-G is compatible with Quectel's UMTS/HSPA+ UC20 module and multi-mode LTE EC2x (EC25, EC21, EC20, EC20 R2.0, and EC20 R2.1) modules, allowing for easy design and manufacturing migration.

The EG25-G is backwards compatible with existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks, allowing it to connect even in places where 4G or 3G service is unavailable.

Qualcomm® IZatTM location technology Gen8C Lite is supported by the EG25-G (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS). The integrated GNSS makes product design more easier, as well as providing faster, more accurate, and more dependable placement.
